Fundraise for your Ride
Help make a meaningful impact on local healthcare by fundraising during your ride!
The riders over the past three years have been incredible, helping us raise over $430,000 to purchase equipment for Brightshores Markdale Hospital.
We encourage all riders to raise at least $250 in addition to the registration fee. This year, riders who meet or exceed that target get to choose from a 2026 Grey Highland Gran Fondo Jersey or a Gran Fondo sweatshirt.
Any rider that fundraises over $200 will be entered into draws for prizes that will take place at the post-race lunch.
Your efforts will directly support vital equipment and services at our hospital.
Every donation makes a difference—and tax receipts will be issued for all contributions.
Getting started is easy:
1. Register now as an individual or as part of a team.
2. Set up your fundraising profile—a personal page you can share with friends and family to ask for support. Be sure to share the link to your fundraising profile with your family & friends.
Whether you contribute yourself or rally your network, your ride will help bring better care to our community.

About the Markdale Hospital Foundation
The Markdale Hospital is a part of Brightshores Health System, which operates 6 hospitals in the Grey Bruce region. Brightshores has 1,700 dedicated staff members and more than 200 physicians who work together to deliver excellent patient care to residents and visitors.
The Markdale Hospital Foundation works with the community to ensure that our medical team has the equipment needed to deliver the care they are trained to provide. Contrary to popular belief, new medical equipment and other capital needs are NOT covered by provincial funding. Hospitals are 100% responsible for the purchase of equipment, facility improvements and IT. Funds must be raised in the community to buy everything from blood pressure cuffs and patient beds to hi-tech medical imaging equipment.
