Join cyclists from across Ontario for the Grey Highlands Gran Fondo, a premier cycling event set in the beautiful rolling hills of Grey Highlands.
The Grey Highlands Gran Fondo, presented by J.D. Smith Logistics Solutions, returns for our 4th year on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Riders can choose from four routes: 26K, 53K, 73K, or 120K.
This year, we are excited to share that a new 2k Family Fondo has been added to the ride!
Over four years, this event has raised over $430,000 in support of the Markdale Hospital Foundation’s purchase of essential medical equipment for the Brightshores Health System, Markdale Hospital.
Whether you are riding for the challenge, the scenery, or the cause, the Grey Highlands Gran Fondo offers an unforgettable cycling experience.

Fundraising dollars will go toward urgently needed equipment here at the Brightshores Markdale Hospital and to help support key regional programs of the Brightshores Health System.

Markdale Hospital
The 68,000 square foot facility offers 24/7 Emergency Department care, a full Diagnostic Imaging Department, Ambulatory Care, Physiotherapy, full Laboratory services, as well as four Ambulance Bays. But with that comes the need for funding. Medical equipment is ever-changing, and we must ensure our equipment remains up to date. With the community responsible for 100% of all costs for furniture, fixtures, and equipment, fundraisers such as our Gran Fondo are IMPERATIVE to ensure that our staff have what they need to provide superior health care close to home.
