Registration
How do I register?
Click HERE to register for Grey Highlands Gran Fondo via RaceRoster.
Once signed in to Race Roster, you will be allowed to register, join a team, donate and complete a profile page that you can use to ask for support from friends & family.
What is the cost of entry?
The cost of registering is below:
Breve Fondo 26k
Early Bird (thru June 3, 2024): $70.00
Regular (June 4 – Sept. 8, 2024): $90.00
Medio Fondo 77k
Early Bird (thru June 3, 2024): $100.00
Regular (June 4 – Sept. 8, 2024): $130.00
Gran Fondo 135k
Early Bird (thru June 3, 2024): $130.00
Regular (June 4 – Sept. 8, 2024): $170.00
In addition to registration fees, all riders are encouraged to fundraise a minimum of $200.00.
Can I switch my entry to a different distance (e.g., Gran Fondo to Medio Fondo)?
Yes, you can:
- If you change to a longer distance you will be charged the difference in price.
- If you change to a shorter distance there will be no refund.
When/where can I pick up my registration package?
Registration packages will be available at the Markdale Arena on September 7th from 4:00pm – 6:00pm, and on September 8th at 7:00am.
Can I pick-up a friend’s registration package?
Yes, provided you have their written permission with you (an e-mail will suffice) and their registration is complete and the waivers are signed.
Can I get a refund if I am unable to participate in the event?
There are no refunds or deferrals. You can transfer your registration to another route distance or to another person:
- If you change to a longer distance you will be charged the difference in price.
- If you change to a shorter distance there will be no refund.
Can a group register as a team?
Yes, you can register as a team by indicating your team name when you register. Riders can form teams of any number, but team prizes are based on a maximum team size of 15. The highest fundraising team will receive a great prizes from one of our sponsors.
Can I join a team if I’m already registered?
Yes, you can add your team name to your profile.
What is included with my entry fee?
- A fantastic ride through Grey Highlands with rest stations along the routes and rider support
- Official Grey Highlands Gran Fondo Swag, including a custom specialty item
- Grey Highlands Gran Fondo Jersey for riders who fundraise a minimum of $250 (Note: Jerseys will be guaranteed for registrations up until August 24th)
- A post-ride lunch and celebration at the Markdale Arena (until 3:00PM)
- Full insurance through Ontario Cycling.
- $20 off your 2023 Ontario Cycling membership.
- A chance to win great prizes donated from our awesome sponsors to be announced at our post-ride awards ceremony!
- A complimentary beverage post-ride
- A great feeling knowing that you are making a difference by contributing to the Markdale Hospital!

What kind of weather should I expect?
The average high temperature during the month of September in Markdale, Ontario is
21°C and the average low temperature is 9°C – perfect cycling weather!
Safety
Your safety is our priority! To ensure that all riders have the best possible experience, we have put in place the following rules:
- All riders are required to sign event waivers – riders who have not signed their waivers will not be permitted to pick up their registration kit or ride in the event.
- Safety-approved cycle helmets are compulsory and must be worn at all times when cycling. Any cyclist not wearing a helmet while participating in the event will be asked to leave the course.
- Riders must stay to the right-hand side of the lane at all times unless passing, and obey the rules of the road.
- Riders must never cross the center line of the road.
- Riders must have a bottle to carry water with you while riding.
- Riders must display their rider plate provided at Registration at all times.
- Riders must be aware of others and allow faster riders to pass on the left.
- Riders must not deviate from the official event route which will have directional signage throughout.
- Riders must not litter – garbage bins will be provided at Rest Stops
- Toilets are available at all Rest Stops enroute – please respect the environment and use the toilets provided.
Helmets and Bicycles
Safety-approved cycle helmets are compulsory and must be worn at all times when cycling. Any rider not wearing a helmet while participating in the event will be asked to leave the course.
Bicycles need to be in reliable working order so that they do not pose a danger to riders or others.
